Mission
The mission of AAUW-TC is to advance equity for women and girls in the Grand Traverse Region by offering scholarships for educational opportunities, workshops, and leadership training.
The Traverse City Area Branch was organized March 17, 1954, and was granted its charter from National AAUW on September 21, 1954.
Meetings
The AAUW Traverse City Area Branch holds monthly Branch meetings. In order to accommodate as many members as possible, the branch will meet in 2 different locations in the 2024/2025 year:
- Speaker meetings on Monday nights in the Janis Room, Dennos Museum
- Special events on Saturday during the day in the Community Room at Bethlehem Lutheran
- In January and February our meetings are held virtually via Zoom.

We also have a number of interest groups that meet regularly as well as fundraising, outreach, and other activities.
