AAUW is a community that breaks through educational and economic barriers so that all women have a fair chance. Your membership makes AAUW’s powerful voice even stronger on critical issues affecting women and girls.

Membership is open to anyone holding an associate or equivalent (RN), baccalaureate or higher degree from a regionally accredited college or university. Join AAUW at the national level or the local branch in your area. Those who support our mission without these qualifications may join the local branch as a Community Member. Community Members can participate in all branch activities but cannot vote or hold office.

Student Affiliation is open to anyone who does not already hold an undergraduate degree and is enrolled in a two- or four-year, regionally accredited, educational institution. Students enrolled at College/University Partner Member institutions receive a free e-Student affiliation.

College/University Partner Membership is open to regionally accredited educational institutions, including two-year or community colleges. Students enrolled in these institutions receive a free e-Student affiliation.

AAUW values and seeks a diverse membership. There shall be no barriers to full participation in this organization on the basis of gender, race, creed, age, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, or class.

Because AAUW is a 501(c)(3) charitable membership organization, most of your national dues and branch dues are tax deductible on your personal federal income tax return if you itemize.
