Newsletter Note about Dec 4th

Celebrate the Holidays with your AAUW-TC friends! Kari Kahler, our College/University Liaison from Northwestern Michigan College has invited us to a watch party of a special presentation of the Lesson of the Lark on December 4th.

NMC is hosting an online choir production “Lesson of the Lark” on December 4th. “Lesson of the Lark” is based on a fictionalized story of a young suffragette Mr Cobb’s wife wrote (and some of you might have seen at the Children’s Book Festival). You can read about it here– just scroll to the bottom of the events.

We will be hosting a “Happy Hour” for AAUWTC before the presentation on our Zoom and then watch the presentation together from the comfort of our own homes. Please register at this link December 4th AAUWTC Holiday Happy Hour  Happy hour begins at 6:30 PM with the concert starting at 7.

Be sure you check out the update from Pat Lewallen and her team of bakers for more information about the Bake Sale (including changes in delivery dates and options!) in her article in the newsletter.

Because we are not able to hold our usual silent auction and celebration this year, we ask that you take the evening of December 1st, when we normally would have held our silent auction fundraiser, for yourself. Relax and enjoy some time to reflect on what AAUW means to you. Perhaps look back on what you have spent at our silent auction in past years and make a donation to support our mission to empower and advance equity for women and girls.
